Recommended hourly wage based on age
Yepstr exists to help youths take their first steps into working life, and we ensure they receive fair compensation for the work they do. That's why every new young person who starts working through Yepstr receives a recommended starting wage based on their age. Our recommended hourly wages are based on our experience hiring young people, comparisons with wage levels from trade unions and other major youth employers, and general wage development in the market.
An annual increase to keep wages competitive
Each year, we raise wages at Yepstr so that youths don't fall behind general wage development. The increase happens automatically and applies to all upcoming bookings. In 2026, the increase is 3.4%, in line with the collective bargaining agreement benchmark.
If you have an ongoing booking, future instances will be affected by the increase, but jobs already completed will not be.
More experience leads to a higher recommended wage
As youths work and gain experience, their recommended hourly wage increases by up to SEK 30. This happens in three steps: +SEK 10 when they've started, +SEK 10 when they've worked for a while, and +SEK 10 for the most experienced. Corporate jobs always pay SEK 145/hour, regardless of age and experience.
Ability to agree on an individual wage
The wage levels in the app are recommendations. The youth and you can always agree on a different wage, and the change is easily made in the chat settings. Make sure you are in full agreement before either of you makes a change.
In conjunction with the annual increase, youths earning below the recommended level will automatically be raised to the new recommended hourly wage. For some, this may mean a slightly larger increase than 3.4%.

Taxes handled for the youths
The wage the youth receives via Yepstr is already taxed. They also accrue pension and are insured while working. This means that as a customer, you don't need to handle employer responsibilities, social security contributions, or tax declarations; we take care of that.
